Anybody interested in this case has to ask these questions:
- why did the criminal lawyer not think of making a DNA test?
- what would have been the right legal action once the result confirmed what everybody knew?
- why did it take UKBA so long to get it done?
I guess it wasn’t in their interest. They wanted the results of a UK company. The US Embassy wanted to recognise only US results. Nobody was willing to pay such that we volunteered even.
In the end it was done by a UK company and UKBA paid – on 4 July 2013.
